MOSAIC Makes Papers

It's always nice to open the paper and see your face in it - just ask Elisabeth Knierim, one of our MOSAIC volunteers. Along with Amanda Hunsaker, she delivered a lesson despite the icy roads on January 20th. MOSAIC offers individuals the opportunity to work according to their availability and succeed in a friendly environment of active science learning. You will find yourself supported with training in order to complete field activities in local community schools and organizations while working at whatever level you find comfortable. There is no denying that MOSAIC's growth in scope and vision has developed to it's current aspirations from ground zero within a matter of a few months. This is in no small part due to the grant that originally funded MOSAIC's beginning - a grant that was offered by the Meridian Society, an organization of women at SIUE that helps to start small community-related efforts.
